Sandy Beach Bridge Committee Breaks Ground at Russells Point Oct 27, 2013
To celebrate the achievement of a major fundraising milestone and also formally launch the Sandy Beach Bridge Renovation Project, the Indian Lake Area Historical Society (ILAHS), several key contributors, Sandy Beach committee members, local officials, contractors and supporters gathered last Sunday, at the Sandy Beach Bridge spanning at the Russells Point Harbor, to break ground on the first phase of the project. |Reverse Raffle Winner!
The number 4 ticket won the Grand Prize of a Tracker Fishing Boat at the Indian Lake Area Historical Society, Reverse Raffle last Saturday evening. Over 250 people attended the event held at the Indian Lake Marine in Russells Point. Diana Geiger from Indian Lake was the lucky winner. Several additional valuable prizes were awarded throughout the evening. Money raised fromthe event gets the Historical Society closer to the goal of $250,000 to renovate/restore the Sandy Beach Bridge and construct a park/walkway surrounding Russells Point Harbor.Additional funds are still needed to complete the project and establish a maintenance fund for future use.
